AT EMAT we understand the importance of continuing professional development, so we allocate time for both teaching and support staff to fulfil their training needs to further develop themselves in either their current role or a new role. This means that staff who become part of the East Midlands Academy Trust can expect high quality training, the time to attend training, and continuous professional development. 

Recognising talent and sharing expertise

We have a number of opportunities at EMAT designed to harness and share widely the expertise that we already have within our schools, as well as offer talented teachers and leaders the opportunity to develop in their career and make an even bigger different to children and young people. 

In addition to formal training, there are many opportunities to connect with fellow professionals across our EMAT network.  These opportunities include primary and secondary EMAT events and subject specialism working parties.
